Priorities
Justice
Nate is committed to putting people at the center of decision-making, working across differences, and making decisions based on what improves people’s lives, not what scores political points. He believes whether someone has been here for generations or are new to this country, this state, or this county, that everyone has the right to live without fear or threat.
STABILITY
Nate believes county government should be the pillar that lifts people up and the safety net that catches us when we fall. That means providing early supports for children, families, and seniors, building stability and security for everyone at every stage of life. He supports reinstating high-quality daycares and afterschool programs, and investing in resources that create opportunities for everyone.
QUALITY
Nate believes improving the quality of life in Salt Lake County includes protecting our environment. He supports implementing clean air policies, preserving our canyons, and saving the Great Salt Lake, without which we have no home. He opposes the gondola in Little Cottonwood Canyon, a costly project that fails to solve transportation challenges while risking harmful wildlife, landscape and watershed disruption.
